Within Speaking and Listening, the children are given opportunities to develop skills in listening in order to be able to process information, interact with others and begin to be aware of their needs. A sample of the play activities the children will be encouraged to take part in will be:

Within Reading, we encourage an enjoyment of books and provide activities, which will stimulate the children’s skills in using books as a means of gathering information and a means of gaining and sharing pleasure.
